Yuki Steinbach
Yuki Steinbach was born in Ibaraki Japan, she started learning oboe at the age of 13. She played in junior high school and also at Kanagawa University, where she studied economics, in the wind instrument orchestra. Then she studied oboe at the Tokyo University of the Art with Prof. Yoshiaki Obata and Prof. Otto Winter. During her studies she took her first baroque oboe lessons from Masamitsu San`nomiya (Bach Collegium Japan). After finishing her studies, she played in the Tokyo Chamber Orchestra and in other various orchestras in Japan. She taught oboe at Yokohama Municipal Totsuka High School from 2015 to 2018. From October 2018 to September 2021 she studied baroque oboe at the Cologne University of Music and Dance with Prof. Wolfgang Dey. She took part in masterclasses in Freiburg with Katharina Arfken (Ensemble Akademie Freiburg), in Graz with Amy Power (Summer Academy for Early Music Graz) and in Neuburg with Xenia Löffler (Summer Academy Neuburg an der Donau).
