Chieko Kinugasa
Chieko Kinugasa was born in Tokyo, Japan. She received piano and solfeggio lessons at the age of two. In 2010 she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in classical singing from the “Ferris Women’s University” in Kanagawa. Three years later, in 2013, she got a master’s degree in the same subject from the “Senzoku Gakuen College of Music” in Japan. She lives in Germany since 2016 and studied classical singing with Elena Prokina at the “Anton Rubinstein International Music Academy” in Düsseldorf until 2018. In October 2018 she started singing and elementary music education at the Cologne University of Music and Dance. She is studying early music singing with Gundula Anders at the University of Music in Trossingen since 2021.
Chieko Kinugasa completed vocal masterclasses with Uwe Heilmann, Franz Lukasovsky, Marc Bruce, Matthias Minnich, Dorothea Stamova, Yukako Margaritoff, Klesie Kelly – Moog, Brigitte Lindner and Emma Kirkby, as well as a choral conductor masterclass with Dénes Szabó, and she also took song interpretation lessons with Norman Shetler. She has given performs and concerts in various a cappella choirs and vocal ensembles in Japan, Germany, Italy and Hungary.
