Alice Uehara
Alice Uehara was born 1990 in Japan. She began playing the cello at the age of 5.
She studied at “The Music High School Attached to the Faculty of Music, Tokyo
University of the Arts” and “Tokyo University of the Arts” with Prof. Nobuko Yamazaki and Tomoya Kikuchi.
In 2012 she participated in master courses with Mr. Wolfgang Böttcher. She won 1st prize at the 3rd Tateshina Music Competition and admission to the 66th Student Music concours of Japan (University Selection).
She finished a Masters degree with Prof. Manuel Fischer-Dieskau at the Hochschule für Musik Mainz.“ Since 2020 she is studying baroque cello with Prof. Rainer Zipperling at the „Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln“.
She is currently active as a cellist and writer in Germany and Japan.
